This year visitors to The Creative Craft Show and Simply Christmas at the NEC in
November, can not only experience the latest in festive crafts and inspirations but can now
experience the NEW full day Academy workshops on offer. Silver clay master artist and tutor
Tracey Spurgin is set to run these workshops, teaching visitors how to make their very own
silver and cold enamel pendant. As you can see from my previous post, It’s a good event to attend!
New workshops
Academy workshop participants will be able learn how to craft their very own jewellery with
materials, lunch and refreshments included. They also receive a free weekend pass to the
four shows on offer (Cake International and Bake International Friday, Saturday and Sunday
only), meaning visitors can not only take home their complete butterfly pendant, but also
browse the craft materials and inspiration on offer at each show.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
To add to the festive theme visitors to the Creative Craft Show will be greeted by a full-sized
Christmas room set, entirely created and decorated with Pinflair’s fabulous Cartonnage kits
and Sequin decorations, featuring a fabulous dressed fireplace; a table set ready for
Christmas lunch, a sparkling trimmed Christmas tree, comfy seating and of course an
Advent calendar! The Rock Choir will also be getting everyone in the festive spirit with their
renditions of popular Christmas songs carols.
With six Creative Dens, there is a huge choice of Christmas themed workshops that visitors
can take part in, whether it’s to learn a new skill or make something for a gift. Choose from
one-hour sessions in needle felting, quilling, origami, Dorset buttons, calligraphy and
macramé, to more in-depth 90 to 120 minute willow weaving, printing, ceramics, batik and
marquetry.
There are also two Stitching Den workshop rooms with a variety of 60, 90 and 120 minute
workshops including ever popular Free Motion Embroidery, dressmaking and patchwork.
A sanctuary for all
The award-winning Creative Craft Show is a haven for knitting, cross stitch, paper crafting,
jewellery & dressmaking and stitching enthusiasts, giving visitors all the festive ideas and
inspiration, they could need. Alongside the Creative Craft Show, Simply
Christmas showcases bespoke, unique and handmade gifts, unusual Christmas decorations
and festive food and drink.
Not just one show, no no
Tickets to The Creative Craft Show and Simply Christmas at the NEC also give visitors
access to Cake International, the biggest and best cake decorating and sugarcraft show, as
well as Bake International – meaning four shows in one.
