My ‘Jackie O’ Jacket
Finally got round to making the ‘Jackie O’ Jacket from Simple Sew which I had received free from Love Sewing Magazine issue 11.
This was a delight to sew even though I had to take care with my pins as this linen material could easily pull if I didn’t put them in with care so it’s a good job I trialed with a spare bit of material!
I love the vivid teal colour that I went for in the end after 20 mins of debating in Direct Fabric Warehouse at Scunthorpe lol! I do like to be not the norm and go against trends and go for colours I like ☺But saying that it does look quite well against my black dress with my yellow flowers so hey Ho! And of course my fetching cat slippers lol!
Materials I’ve used:
1.5m of Teal Linen Fabric
50cm of medium interfacing
And matching thread and hey presto you have a jacket! I’ve altered the pattern so I had three quarter sleeves as I’m not a fan of long sleeves as I always end up rolling them up!
Ta ta for now
