It’s less than a month away that Sewing for Pleasure, Craft for Christmas and Cake International is back at Birmingham NEC on between the 4th – 7th of November 2021. Plus scroll down to the bottom of this post on how to enter my giveaway!
The Creative Craft Show is a haven for knitting, cross stitch, paper crafting, jewellery & dressmaking and stitching enthusiasts, offering all the very latest supplies, ideas and innovations in the hobby world! You’ll find everything from kits, charts and patterns to fabrics, yarns, threads and buttons plus opportunities to gain advice from industry experts.
Ticket includes entry to The Creative Craft Show, Simply Christmas and Cake International, 3 shows for the price of 1! Yas! It is being held in Halls 19 & 20 so you don’t have to walk far from one show to the next.
Show Highlights
South Midlands Area of NAFAS
The Association is an Educational Charity, aiming to promote the love and art of flower arranging. NAFAS promote and teach through workshops, demonstrations, competitions, Flower Festivals, clubs and Societies. NAFAS always welcome new members who want to learn the art of flower arranging.
The Birmingham Society of Botanical Artists
The Birmingham Society of Botanical Artists works to encourage and promote the art of botanical painting. They share knowledge, provide workshops and promote members work through exhibitions and their website. They meet monthly in Stirchley and welcome new members.
British Polymer Clay Guild
The British Polymer Clay Guild aims to promote the use of this amazing art medium. We welcome everyone from beginners to tutors and organise workshops and meetings online and across the UK.
The Marquetry Society
The foremost organisation promoting the art and craft of Marquetry. They will be displaying a range of Marquetry pictures, from simple beginner’s work to award-winning examples. They will demonstrate the techniques used to make them and offer a free beginner’s course, at their club venue, to all show visitors.
The WI
The Women’s Institute (WI) formed in 1915. They are now the largest voluntary women’s organisation in the UK, playing a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and skills, plus campaigning on issues for them and their communities.
Workshops
There are plenty of workshops available to book here ranging from sewing, wreath making, calligraphy and many more crafts!
Competitions that are running!
2022: Madeira Embroidery Competition
This competition is to create an embroidered piece inspired by Islands of the world! Show them your Glimpses of the Islands in a beautifully embroidered piece that could win you the coveted Madeira Rose Bowl trophy and one of the fabulous prizes on offer. 2022: Sew Your Style
Now in its fourth year, this competition celebrates all the budding dressmakers out there. Sew Your Style is brought to you in association with The Pattern Pages and is a chance for you to show us your unique style, flair and creativity. Choose from one of four categories (or enter more than one) and get sewing!

Essential Info
Opening times for the show are;
Thursday 4th November to Saturday 6th November 2021: 9.30am – 5.00pm.
Sunday 7th November 2021: 9.30am – 4.00pm.
Daily car park charges apply. Pre-pay for parking and save 25% on daily rate here, which means more pennies to spend at the show, alternatively you can pay on the day.
Prices for adults £14. But if you use the discount code EPBI at the time of booking, you will save £1 making an adult ticket just £13.
Under 16’s go free with an accompanying adult!

To ensure visitor safety at the show, aisles will be wider to accommodate social distancing and floor markings and clear signage will be used throughout the show. Those attending workshops can sit at individual tables with pre-packaged craft kits to minimise contact where possible. My personal view
Throughout Covid, I have felt uneasy with socialising and attending places but with The Creative Craft Shows I feel quite happy to attend due to the above procedures they have put in place. If you do have any concerns, then feel free to get in touch with ICHF Events. I’ll be attending this show myself on Saturday 6th November 2021.
