Hi All!
I have finally got round to posting my review of the ‘S’ Box! Now i here your cry, “what is the ‘S’ Box?”
Well let me tell you!!
Its a lovely monthly subscription box from the-stitchery who are based in Lewes in East Sussex.
Each month they send you a selection of inspirational, creative goodies to get you crafting, sewing, knitting, doing and making.
They give you useful, but small amounts of co-ordinationed or themed product, usually seasonal (but in advance) so you can create gifts, accessories and small projects.
The S-box is sent out at the beginning of each month at a single box cost of £14.95 and £2.95 p and p. (So you pay £17.90 for one box)
They aim to bring you great value by putting together crafty goodies exceeding that cost, and there will always be an online voucher included as an extra freebie and who knows? There might also be a little surprise gift enclosed! Who doesn’t love something for Free?
You can just buy one box to check it out, – you choose which month you want -you can choose a previous box (whilst stocks last) or an advance one- just tell us your preference. You can have it sent as a gift of course!! Perfect Pressie for a Crafter!
So now onto the November Box which was kindly given to me to review!
Now look of how cute it comes! I’m easily swayed with Sweeties involved!! Hahahaha!
It fitted through my letterbox with ease which is great as it doesn’t mean you have to wait around for the Postman! Yay!
No Look at how nicely its packed inside!! Now that’s some skill to say it still just look as pretty as it was first sent as no doubt the parcel will get bashed about whilst in transit!
Here’s a close of the Goodies that came, you’ll be surprised of how much fits into that box!
Now the 1st came into mind was to make some cute little felt decorations! You can’t go wrong with Hearts and Stars, I thought the cute little buttons and bells would suit these to the ground!
I saw this pattern from Sewaholic last year, The Stanley Tree and was determined to make my own!!
I made the large version and i tell you its thirsty for toy stuffing so it’s a good job i had 3 quarters of a bag left from a previous project withe kiddies and it was a little bit tedious hence me sat in my dressing gown…stuffing… then stitching by hand to close.
But the end result is so worth it!! Look at my Stanley! I just finished him off with a little wooden star at the top 🙂
I saw on Twitter that @Singer Sewing was asking for Christmas makes using your Singer Sewing Machine and they would select ones to feature in their 12 days of Christmas and guess what….. Stanley was picked for Day 5!!
Day 5 of our 12 Days of #SingerXmas & we loved Stanley the Christmas Tree made by @Sal1985 using her Singer 9960. How festive is that! pic.twitter.com/Ypw0syZImB

Woo-hoo and Singer Sewing kindly sent me some new needles for my machine as little thank you!
So with a little imagination, you can make all sorts of lovely little things from The S_Box and the quality of items supplied are fantastic! No cheap materials in there, no no!
A big thank you to The Stitchery for sending me the Box to review and of course the sweeties and chocolates!
Also keep your eyes peeled peeps as there is more Tutorials scheduled to be posted this week and next!
Sal xx
